You are either ignorant or apathetic if you wear this outfit.
You decide which one you are? There is only one choice, don’t be ashamed, just pick and move on.

Vegans, DO WORK!!!
| Posted 2 days ago | 5 notes |
If you mention to someone that you are having a shake for breakfast, lunch or dinner, bad stereotypes and “weird” liquid diets come to mind. The diet industry has made trillions off of people who want shortcuts to weight loss, with no regard for health or the ingredients you put into your body. Vega is here to change that. I am often asked about what i eat and what to eat after workouts. It all depends on the type of workout, duration, the intensity, what the rest of your day looks like, and what your goals are. A proper post workout meal will improve recovery time and build & repair muscle. So many factors are in play that we could go on for quite a while, but the below recipe is a great quick, easy, nutritious and delicious post workout meal. It has good carbs, protein, fat and all kinds of extras you need after a workout like branch chain amino acids, omega 3s and digestive enzymes . Besides, who doesn’t want vegan chocolate goodness every day?!?
Ingredients:
1 package of Vega Sport Performance Chocolate Protein (or VEGA ONE)
6-8 pitted deglet noor dates
1 banana (I do two bananas if it’s a hard workout.)
1 tbsp. chia seeds or chia seed meal
1 cup of kale or spinach or greens of choice
2 cups water
6-8 ice cubes
Directions:
Place first 6 items in blender and blend until smooth. Add the ice cubes and blend until ice is completely incorporated into drink. Sometimes you might need extra ice cubes to make it the texture you desire.
The Vega Sport products are 100% vegan and superb quality. No chalky taste or texture that you can get from some protein powders. Try not to inhale this in one gulp! I’m only kind of kidding. You will never believe this is vegan and totally healthy and nutritious. Wait a minute, you will totally believe this is vegan and healthy cause you know vegan food is delicious and healthy!
NOTES: If you want it to be more like vegan ice cream, you can reduce the water or increase the ice cubes till you get the consistency you want. For a blender I use a Vitamix, so if you use a different blender you might have to adjust the water & ice cube ratio. The type and size of the dates you use can have a big difference in the calories, so keep that in mind. You can also get more calories/carbs by adding more dates or using almond milk, rice milk, soy milk, etc…
Variation: Try adding fruit or other ingredients for different flavors. Experimentation is fun, sometimes i put in blueberries, raw oatmeal or even a handful of chopped nuts or seeds. So get clever and find out how you like to drink your nutrition.
